Easy 1-Minute Microwave Mug Cake

A mug cake is a single-serving dessert that is made directly in a mug and typically cooked in the microwave. It is a quick and easy treat that can be prepared in just a few minutes using simple ingredients. There are various flavors and recipes available for mug cakes, with popular ones including vanilla, banana, oat and chocolate. The chocolate mug cake, for instance, can be made fudgy and chocolaty in less than 10 minutes with basic ingredients. Some recipes may even include unique add-ins or toppings for added flavor and customization. This is a simple way of making an easy dessert for yourself or family in less that 5 minutes. Lets get into it!







Ingredients

60g of flavor (Banana, Oat, Chocolate, Vanilla)

3 tsp of all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp of baking powder

1 Egg

1 tsp of melted butter

4 tsp of milk

1/2 of vanilla essence

1 tsp of sugar

1 pinch of salt to taste

Microwave-safe mug

Directions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, add 60g of the flavor of choice, mashed ripe banana or oat .

  2. Add the egg, followed by the melted butter, milk, and vanilla essence. Mix until well combined.

  3. Go in next with the sugar and stir.

  4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until you have a smooth batter.

  5. Gently stir in the chocolate chips if it is a chocolate cake, reserving a few to sprinkle on top.

  6. Microwave on high for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes, until the cake rises and the top looks set. It’s okay if it’s slightly undercooked in the center as it will continue cooking as it cools.

  7. Let the cake cool for a minute or two before enjoying.
